Go Bird Watching
Olana
State Historic Site will host a Spring Birding Tour on the historic
farm, which was Church's primary residence for more than a decade.
Then the tour will venture into the meadow listening for calls of
the Woodcock. The tour will be held on Sunday, April 1 at

the Sheep & Wool Showcase
Clermont State Historic Site will host the annual Chancellor's
Sheep & Wool Showcase on Saturday, April 14 from 11:00 am to
5:00 pm. The rain date is April 15. The Showcase is
one of Clermont's most popular events and draws about 2,000 visitors
to see costumed reenactors, live animals, spinning, herding, and
shearing demonstrations, enjoy great food and live music, shop at
over 20 vendors of fine fiber products, and a silent auction.

The Hudson Opera House teams
up with Brooklyn Friends of Chamber Music to bring an exceptional
concert with violinist Tereza Stanislav, pianist Roberto Giordano
and cellist Alexis Pia Gerlach. The event will be held on
Friday, April 20 at 8:00 pm and will feature the works of James
Matheson, Beethoven, Schubert, Debussy and Strauss. Tickets

The Copake Auction House will
host the 16th Annual Antique & Classic Bicycle Auction on Saturday,
April 21 at 10:00 am. A swap meet will be held the evening
before, April 20 from dawn to dusk. The swap meet will feature
over 70 vendors. The auction will feature a variety of bikes
that will please the seasoned and beginner collector For more

See a Performance
Back by popular demand, the
Taconic Hills Performing Arts Center will feature the Air Force
Band of Liberty. They will perform popular and concert music
celebrating the cultural multiplicity of the nation. Songs
from our country's diverse heritage unite in an unforgettable musical
evening. No matter what your musical tastes, from the classics
to pop, from Broadway to swing, this talented group of musicians
will certainly delight and entertain the whole family. Admission
is free for this event. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the performance

Take
a Spring Walk
Hawthorne
Valley Farm's Farmscape Ecology Program, co-sponsored by the Columbia
Land Conservancy, will lead a series of five Sunday walks on public
and private lands in Columbia County to explore common (and not
so common) spring flowers, make observations on their ecology and
habitats, and hear about their lore. The Spring Flora walks
are free, but registration is recommended if you plan to attend.
Participants can attend single walks, or the entire five walks.
The walks begin on Sunday, April 22 and continue through May 20.

Attend a Benefit
Eat and drink for a good cause!
Mexican Radio will be hosting its 3rd Annual "Dining Out for
Life" AIDS benefit on Thursday, April 26. Twenty-five
percent of all lunch and dinner bills will be donated to the AIDS
Council of Northeastern NY. Reservations are recommended.
The restaurant will be open from 11:30 am to 11:00 pm.

Listen to Cabaret
The
Spencertown Academy will feature Bistro and MAC Award winning Broadway
singer Georga Osborne. Ms. Osborne was named one of the "Funniest
People in Cabaret" by In Theater Magazine. She is a classically
trained performer who has taken her career onto a melange of entertainment
genres including Broadway and cabaret stages. Osborne delights
in entertaining and her wonderful combination of comedy and thoughtful
singing. The event will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 6:00
pm. The cost is $25 members and $35 non-members.

Dance Day
Hudson
Valley Academy of Performing Arts will host a Discover Dance Day
in honor of National Dance Week. The event will be held on
Sunday, April 29 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm and is suitable for the entire

Go for a Community Run
Sean's Run is a community run/walk open to all ages and abilities.
A one mile event, SeansMile, is a race for 12 and under, or a short
stroll for others. The 5K run/walk is open to all. Entrants
receive a souvenir T-shirt, other goodies, a chance to win door
prizes and a great spread of nutritional refreshments following
the run. The course runs through the charming Chatham Village
and includes musical performances along the way. This event
is produced to raise awareness about the problems of underage drinking
and impaired driving. The cost is $10 age 20 and under (5
and under free), and $17 for age 21 and older. For more information
