Take a Dance Class

Olana will hold a landscape dance and movement class for children of all ages at the Wagon House Education Center beginning Monday, April 13th through Friday, April 17th fom 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Children will explore dance improvisation with a new toolkit of skills including space, time and flow.  The class is led by teaching artist and professional dancer, Jill Schwartz, M.A.L.S. Attend an Auction

On April 17th at 6:00 pm at Stair Galleries in Hudson there will be and Exposition Auction.  The auction will feature English and Continental furniture, decorative art and fine art, including silver, silverplate and metalwork, pottery and porcelain, glass, clocks, lighting fixtures, decorations, architectural elements, carpets and textiles, paintings, prints and bronzes, as well as a large selection of books.  For more information about Stair Galleries call (518) 751-1000 or visit their website at www.stairgalleries.com.

Take a Clown Workshop

Walking the Dog Theater is holding a spring clown workshop on Saturday, April 18 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, April 19 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.  The workshop is not about clown routines, tricks or gags.  No acting or clowning experience needed.  You are invited on a safe personal journey that lets our challenges become opportunities.  In clowning we delight in life's paradoxes.   The cost is $115.  For more information about the Walking the Dog Theater call (518) 610-0909 or visit their website at www.wtdtheater.org.

Enjoy an Art Exhibition


Spencertown Academy will have an art exhibition of American Color by Richard Garrison that will begin on Saturday, April 18th with an opening reception and gallery talk by the artist from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Richard Garrison involves collective, systematic processes that reflect personal observations and interactions with elements of suburbia.  The exhibition will run until May 24th.  For more information about Spencertown Academy call (518) 392-3693 or visit their website at www.spencertownacademy.org.

Enjoy a Concert

See a Film

Listen to an Author on Slow Money, Slow Food

The Columbia Land Conservancy, The Schumacher Society, Hawthorne Valley Farm and Gianni Ortiz are honored to bring Woody Tasch, author of Slow Money, Investing as if Food, Farms and Fertility Mattered and Paolo DiCroce, Executive Director of Slow Food International together for the first time in the United States on Friday, April 24th at Time and Space Limited from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Slow Money brings a new way of seeing what is going on in the soil of the economy and forging creative initiatives.  For more information about the Columbia Land Conservancy call (518) 392-5252 or visit their website at www.clctrust.org.

Take Part in a Movable Feast

Enjoy the Annual Sheep & Wool Showcase

Clermont State Historic Site will host the annual Chancellor's Sheep & Wool Showcase on Saturday, April 25 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The rain date is April 26.  The Showcase is one of Clermon'ts most popular events and draws about 2,000 visitors to see costumed reenactors, live animals, spinning, herding and shearing demonstrations.   Enjoy great food and live music, shop at over 20 vendors of fine fiber products and a silent auction.  Bring the kids for an afternoon of family entertainment.  For more information about Clermont State Historic Site call (518) 537-4240 or visit their website at www.friendsofclermont.org.

See a Cooking Demonstration
