through the eyes of her talented accompanist, Cosme McMoon, who
chronicles her unlikely rise to fame - and his gradual admiration

a Summer Sing
PS/21 in Chatham has announced
the return of its acclaimed "Summer Sings" program.
Choral music lovers of all ages and abilities are invited to join
in singing magnificent choruses of renowned works with professional
soloists. Sings take place on four consecutive Mondays, August
4, 11, 18 and 25, beginning at 7:30 pm. Admission to each
session is only $10 and it's only $5 to come and listen.

The
Hudson-Chatham Winery will host the Sangria Festival on Saturday,
August 9 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. There's nothing better
on a hot summer day than a cool glass of sangria. Visit the

The Spencertown Academy Arts Center will host the annual Blues BBQ

Attend the Clermont Gold Rush
Clermont State Historic Site will hold
a benefit celebrating the bicentennial of Fulton and Livingston's
steamboat on Saturday, August 23 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The
"Gold Rush" will feature a huge raffle with a chance to
win $2,500 in gold prizes plus other prizes including wine and champagne,
fine dining at local gourmet restaurants, antiques and more.

Olana State Historic Site will

Pre-registration is required by 4:00 pm the preceding Friday.

for members of the Olana Partnership, $9 adults, $7 students and

End your summer fun by attending
the Columbia County Fair. The Fair will open on August 27
