Take a Creative Writing and Drama Workshop

On March 7th from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm take a creative writing and drama workshop with David Anderson with Walking the Dog Theater.  Open to people at all levels of experience. It will be held at the Music Room at Hawthorne Valley School in Ghent, NY.  The cost is $35.  For more information about Walking the Dog Theater call (518) 610-0909 or visit their website at www.wtdtheater.org.

View an Art Exhibition

The Hudson Opera House and the Columbia County Council on the Arts present a exhibition of the Hudson Valley artists from the 2008 New York Foundation in the Arts Mark Program through March 28th.  The work is a wide range of media and styles the artists reflect on the idea of tiem and how its passage manifests itself in their work.  The exhibit marks the first time the group will exhibit their work together.  For more information about the Hudson Opera House call (518) 822-1438 or visit their website at www.hudsonoperahouse.org.

Enjoy the Met Opera at TSL

See a Play

Listen to a Reading

The Two of Us Productions in collaborationwith Roving Actors Repertory Ensemble present a stage reading of the play  "STEPS" on March 14th at 4:00 pm at Hudson Valley Academy of the Performing Arts.  The play is in two acts by Kate McLeod.  It is about four men who live together in a half way house for recovering alcoholics and depicts their individual challenges with each other.  For more information about this play call (518) 329-6293 or visit their website at www.thetwoofusproductins.org.

Listen to the Art of Song

Hudson Opera House offers the Art of Song Deconstructed - Diamond Opera Theatre on March 14.  A heavenly song cycle, sung by a quartet including Courtenay Symonds, Andrew Fuchs, and DOT Artistic Directors Mary Deyerle Hack and Keith Spencer.  The quartet will be accompanied by pianists Cynthia Powell and Allison Snoffy.  It is free and open to the public.  For more information about the Hudson Opera House call (518) 822-1438 or visit their website at www.hudsonoperahouse.org.

Dinner with the Winemaker

Take a Spring Walk
