Columbia County Fairgrounds will host Family Fest on Saturday, July
4 from 3:00 to 11:00 pm. Admission is only $5 (free for kids
under age 3) and will feature free kiddie rides, live music and
more. Come and enjoy face painting, climbing wall, hay maze,

an Old-Fashioned Independence Day
Clermont
State Historic Site will host the annual Old-Fashioned Independence
Day on Saturday, July 4 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The event
will feature kids' contests and crafts, live music, story telling,
free treats, and more. For a cost of only $8 per vehicle families
can enter the festival grounds for an entire day's worth of excitement,
culminating in an exquisite view of the Saugerties fireworks after

Walking
the dog Theater will open the first summer production of 2009 with
"Virtue, Desire, Death and Foolishness - An Evening of Tales
from Anton Chekhov". The show will run through July 19th.
The show will take audiences on a journey through Anton Chekhov's
extraordinary world of short stories. These stories are filled
with the compassion and humor of an observer who is both uncle and
journalist, critic and poet, witnessing episodes in the lives of
a vast array of flawed men and women. Performances will be

Attend SummerFest
The
Chatham Business Alliance invites you to its annual SummerFest celebration
on Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 am to 4:00 p.m. In addition
to the traditional sidewalk sale and not-for-profit informational
tables, this year's event will include live music and a photography
contest. Many of Chatham's one-of-a-kind stores and restaurants
will set up tables outdoors as part of a sidewalk sale. Dozens
of community booths will be set up along Main Street. Chatham
Police will offer fingerprinting for kids. Knights of Columbus
will serve hot dogs, soda and water. Payne AME Church will
serve chicken and sausages. The Rotary Club will have an iced
tea and lemonade stand. Kinderhook Bank will be offering refreshments
and giveaways at the Chatham branch location from 9:00 am to 1:00

farce tells the tale of two "down on their luck" actors

The Olana Partnership will host
its seventh annual Summer Party on Saturday, July 25 from 7:00 to
11:00 pm. Enjoy this year's theme, China: The Land of Emperors

will be provided by DJ ActivePhaze and Forward Motion Theater.

The Austerlitz Historical Society
will host the annual Blueberry Festival on Sunday, July 25 from
9:00 am to 4:00 pm on the grounds of Old Austerlitz. The event
will feature early 19th Century craft demonstrations and wares,
antiques, live music and entertainment for children, many different
vendors and a variety of foods to feed the masses. There will
be blueberries galore and a blueberry pancake breakfast. For

of great food featuring the finest local products. You'll
