The Mac-Haydn Theatre will open their season with "High Society", through June 7.  High Society is about a Long Island socialite trying to plan her wedding around the antics of an ex-husband and a smitten reporter.  The laugh never stop, and the score is a Cole Porter hit parade: "Ridin' High, I Love Paris, Just One of Those Things, It's All Right With Me, Well Did You Evah?, True Love", and more.  For tickets or more information about the Mac-Haydn Theatre call (518) 392-9292 or visit their website at www.machaydntheatre.org.

Visit the Annual Hudson Bush Plant Sale & Exchange

Clermont State Historic Site will feature the annual Hudson Bush Plant Sale & Exchange on Saturday, June 6 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  The event attracts 30 vendors and 2,000 garden enthusiasts a year.  In keeping with the style of the Garden Sale Founders the vendors offer a wide selection of heritage and contemporary plant material, much of it locally grown.  For more information about Clermont State Historic Site call (518) 537-6622 or visit their website at www.friendsofclermont.org.

Enjoy a Summer Concert

The Town of Greenport will be hosting free Friday Night Concerts at the Town Park all summer.  The Park is located on Joslen Blvd in Hudson.  The theme is "Music at Sunset" and the concerts will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  The June schedule include June 5th, All Shook Up; June 12, The Greyhounds; June 19th, Paul Slusar and June 26th King of the Forest.  Food specials will be available at the concession stand for all concerts beginning at 5:00 pm.  For more information about the Town of Greenport call (518) 828-4656 or visit their website at www.townofgreenport.com.

Have Fun Volunteering

Katchkie Farm in Kinderhook  invites you to their Spring Volunteer Day on Sunday, June 7 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  It's a great event for kids and families.  Spend a day at Katchie Farm and help they get in top shape for the summer season.  Activities will include: planting seeds at the Sylvia Center flower and vegetable garden, clearing trails, making birdhouses, building trellises for bean planting and planting sunflowers.  Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and enjoy a day spent beautifying the farm.  For more information about Spring Volunteer Day Sylvia at Katchkie Farm email Danielle Albanese at Danielle.Albanese@greatperformances.com.

Visit the Sculpture Park

The Field Sculpture Park and Charles B. Benenson Visitors Center at Omi International Arts Center will have their grand opening on June 13 and continue running throughout the summer.  A reception will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 pm to celebrate the opening of the Fields Sculpture Park's annual Summer Exhibition.  For more information about Omi International Arts Center call (518) 392-4747 or visit their website at www.artomi.org.

Attend a Historic House Tour

On Sunday, June 14th, the Canaan 250 Committee launches its Bisesquicentennial Celebrations with a Historic House Tour. The tour features eleven historic housesin the town of Canaan dating from the 1780's and 90's to the mid-1800's. The tour runs from 1 PM to 5 PM. Tickets cost $20.00 and are available at Canaan Town Hall on the day of the tour. This is a rare opportunity to get behind the front doors of the town's homes, which range from simple to elegant: as this is the first Town-wide house tour in fifty years. Enjoy Music at the Farm

In celebration of the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial, all ages are welcome to Olana's Farm Complex to enjoy live folk music performances for the public on Saturday, June 20 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Henry Hudson and De Halve Moon with Nanne and Ankie and The Hudson Crew from the Netherlands will perform their original songs in Dutch and English, retelling the story of Henry Hudson's voyage to America in 1609.   These concerts will take place outside the Wagon House Education Center down at Olana's Farm Complex (inside the Education Center if inclement weather). Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and a picnic lunch; stay on the grounds to enjoy free children's art activities or to explore the glorious Hudson River views! Attend a Family Picnic and Energy Fair

See a Play
