Chamber
to Host Annual Agricultural Breakfast
Hudson
, NY , February 23, 2005 – The Agricultural Business Committee
of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will host their
annual Agricultural Breakfast on March 9, 2005 from 7:30 –
9:00 am at the First Reformed Church, 52 Green Street in Hudson
. This year's breakfast will focus on Agricultural Economic
Development for the Hudson Valley .
The
program will feature Philip Gottwals, ACDS, LLC and Jerry
Cosgrove, American Farmland Trust. Philip Gottwals is a founding
Principal of ACDS, LLC and directs the company's agricultural
and rural economic development services. He brings over 14
years of experience in agricultural development and marketing
at the local, state and national level as well as experience
of successfully starting and managing three food and development
oriented businesses. Jerry Cosgrove is the Northeast Director
of American Farmland Trust. American Farmland Trust is a national
nonprofit organization working with communities and individuals
to protect the best land, plan for growth with agriculture
in mind and keep the land healthy. As the leading advocate
for farm and ranchland conservation, American Farmland Trust
has ensured that more than a million acres stay bountiful
and productive.
The
cost of the breakfast is $18 for chamber members and $22 for
non-members. Reservations are required and payment must be
included to secure the reservation. The deadline for reservations
