Listen to a Garden Talk

Garden Talk Fundraiser for Valatie Economic Development Association (VERA) to be held on Thursday, April 8 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the Barnwell Center located at 3230 Church Street in Valatie.  Speaker,  Kerry Mendez is quite the speaker and her list of credentials is long.  She has appeared on HGTV several times, has her own nursery in Balston Spa and is well known through out the Hudson Valley.  We couldn't be more honored to have her here in Valatie!Kerry's talk, Four Seasons Of Color - Hit the Easy Button, will show you tricks of the trade for having WOW gardens month after month with smart plant selection, design tips, and surefire maintenance shortcuts.  The $10.00 per person fee includes handouts, door prizes and light refreshments.  To register or if you have questions, please call Jackie Hennessey at (518) 610-8164 Monday through Friday between 8:30 - 4:30 p.m or e-mail hennessyins@nycap.rr.com

BeLo3rd Gallery Collective presents an Art BeLo 3rd event, Saturday, April 10th from 4 pm to 8 pm.  Multiple galleries host artist receptions featuring works in photography, mixed media, digital art print media, and painting.   Digital  Art Extravaganza opens at Limner; Judith Black & Moira Barrett at Davis/Orton; New Works at J. Hop on the Wine Trail

On Saturday, April 10 is the launch of the Hudson Berkshire Beverage Trail with Pasta & Sauce.  Be a part of the history of our great region as we launch the Hudson Berkshire Beverage Trail!  Members are Tousey Winery in Germantown; Hudson-Chatham Winery in Ghent; Chatham Brewing in Chatham; Harvest Spirits in Valatie; Brookview Station Winery in Castleton; Furnace Brook Winery in Richmond, MA; and Les Trois Emme Winery in New Marlborough, MA.  WOW!  You can try exceptional wines being produced here, as well as hand-crafted beers and artisanal vodka and spirits.  Each member venue will be offering a sample of a signature pasta dish.  Get a Passport at any location.  For more information, visit the website at www.hudsonberkshireexperience.com.

Saturday, April 17 Upstage Productions presents " A Spotlight Cabaret".  This is a special event that will take place at Anthony's Banquet Hall on Route 23B in Leeds, NY.  It promises to be highly entertaining evening with Upsage performers, both old and new who have been "in the spotlight"!  Veteran performers from times past are reuniting and joining the present Upstage Troupe to present musical selections from a variety of popular Broadway shows such as Annie, Jeckyl & Hyde, Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls and many more.  Reservations are strongly recommended.  For reservations, please call 821-4449 or visit their website at www.upstageproductionsinc.org.

Attend a Movable Feast Fundraiser

On Saturday, April 17 attend a Moveable Feast Fundraiser.  The evening begins at 6:30 pm with wine and hors d'oeuvres at the Hudson Opera House, followed by festive dinners in the neighborhood, and desserts back at the Opera House. The Two of Us Productions presents "Beyond Therapy".  Bruce consults his therapist when his new girlfriend Prudence upsets his boy friend Bob.  The learn to live beyond therapy in this delightful Off-Broadway hit that moved successfully to Broadway.   Fridays and Saturdays, April 23, 24, 30 & May 1, all shows at 8pm.  All performance will be at Stageworks/Hudson, parking is across the street from the Amtrak Station.
