Chamber Announces Award Recipients for

Excellence in Business Awards and Showcase

Hudson, NY, June 23, 2010 – The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce announced the award recipients of the 2010 Excellence in Business Awards and Showcase on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Stageworks/Hudson.  The Business Showcase and Awards Ceremony was attended by over 100 local business people and recognized all of the nominees and award recipients.

The following are the 2010 Award Recipients: 

Business Person of the Year:

Small Company of the Year:

Large Company of the Year:

The Bank of Greene County

Community Service Award:

Hudson River Bank & Trust Co. Foundation

The event celebrates the many accomplishments that businesses make to Columbia County each year.  The Chamber is proud to celebrate business excellence in Columbia County and recognize businesses for their efforts.  In addition to the awards ceremony attendees were able to sample wonderful hors d’oeuvres by Georgia Ray’s, a wine tasting by Hudson-Chatham Winery, a beer tasting by Chatham Brewing, LLC and a coffee tasting by Strongtree Organic Coffee Roasters during the business showcase.

The Chamber also be recognized the 2009-10 Leadership Columbia County Class during the awards ceremony.  Leadership Columbia County is a nine-month program that helps to develop leaders and identifies places where they may want to put their leadership skills to work.  The program was originally started by a collective of county organizations and is now run by the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.
