Chamber
to Host 17th Annual Golf Tournament
Hudson,
NY – The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will hold its
17th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 22, 2006 at the
Columbia Golf and Country Club located at 295 Route 217 in
Claverack. Last year was a sellout tournament, so we
encourage participants to get their reservations in early.

The
day will start at noon with registration and a complimentary
lunch provided by Cornucopia Catering and play begins at 1:00
pm with a shotgun start. Snacks and lunch will also be available
on the course at the 10th hole. The early bird rate valid
through May 8 is $135 for chamber members and $150 for non-members.
After May 8, the price will be $150 for chamber members and
$175 for non-members. Reservations include golf, cart rental,
lunch, open-bar cocktail hour, and dinner. Singles or foursomes
can register by contacting the Chamber. Open bar cocktail
hour and dinner only reservations are available for $50 per

Two
local companies have donated fabulous hole-in-one prizes for
this year's tournament. Ruge's GMC is sponsoring a hole-in-one
contest for a full-size truck. MetzWood Harder Insurance will
provide a one-week vacation at Hilton Head Island for any
golfer scoring a hole-in-one on another par 3 hole. In addition
to these great prizes, this year's tournament will again feature
a $50,000 Combo Putt Off. Twelve lucky golfers will be chosen
by raffle for a chance to putt for the cash.
After
what is sure to be a superb day of golf, participants will
be able to enjoy dinner and open bar cocktail hour. During
the cocktail hour the twelve contestants for the Combo Putt
Off will be drawn and they will take their chance at putting
for the cash. Awards will be given out to the 1st – 5th place
teams and there will be a raffle for a number of great prizes.
