County Chamber of Commerce Announces Five Finalists
for
the 18th Annual Crystal Apple Award
Hudson,
NY – Columbia County Chamber of Commerce President, David
Colby is pleased to announce the five finalists for the 18th
Annual Crystal Apple Award. The official slate of nominees
for the 18th annual award is the Columbia Hudson Partnership;
Columbia Memorial Hospital; Local 111, LLC; PS 21 Performing
Spaces for the 21st Century and Tierra Farm, Inc. The Crystal
Apple Award is presented to a Chamber member business to recognize
an extraordinary contribution to economic progress, community
improvement, and the quality of life in Columbia County during
2006.
After
review of the candidate recommendations by the Chamber's Executive
Committee, the official slate of five nominees was created.
The ballot of official nominees is mailed to the Chamber membership
for voting to determine the recipient of the 18 th Annual
Crystal Apple Award. The prestigious award consists of a stunning
crystal apple from Steuben Glass. The apple symbolizes Columbia
County's simple beauty, agricultural heritage and quality
of life.
The
recipient of the Crystal Apple Award will be announced at
the awards gala on Friday evening, February 16 at Lippera's
at the Chatham House. The Gala will be emceed by Tony
Jones and Vicki Simons of Roe Jan Publishing. Lippera's
is located at 29 Hudson Avenue in Chatham. Invitations and
ballots will be mailed to the Chamber membership. Tickets
for the gala are $85 per person or $650 per corporate table
of eight and can be reserved via mail or by contacting the
Chamber at 828-4417 until February 12.
