– Columbia County Chamber of Commerce President, David Colby
is pleased to announce the five finalists for the 19th Annual
Crystal Apple Award. The official slate of nominees for the
19th annual award includes: Crosswinds at Hudson/3d Development;
The Firemen's Home of the State of NY ; The Mac-Haydn Theatre;
Spencertown Academy Arts Center; and SunDog Solar.
For the first
time Chamber members have the opportunity to vote on-line
for the recipient. You

Only one vote per business. You do not need to attend
the Gala to vote. Deadline to vote is February 22 at
5:00 pm.
The Crystal
Apple Award is presented to a Chamber member business to recognize
an extraordinary contribution to economic progress, community
improvement, and the quality of life in Columbia County during
2007. After review of the candidate recommendations
by the Chamber's Board of Directors, the official slate of
five nominees was created. The ballot of official nominees
is mailed to the Chamber membership for voting to determine
the recipient of the 19th Annual Crystal Apple Award. The
prestigious award consists of a stunning crystal apple from
Steuben Glass. The apple symbolizes Columbia County's simple
beauty, agricultural heritage and quality of life.
The
recipient of the Crystal Apple Award will be announced at
the awards gala on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Columbia Golf
and Country Club. The Gala is the premier Chamber event in
the area and all members of the Chamber are invited to attend.
Look for the Crystal Apple Award Gala invitation for the special
guest speaker. Invitations and ballots will be mailed to the
Chamber membership.
Tickets
for the gala are $95 per person or $725 per corporate table
of eight and can be reserved via mail or by contacting the
Chamber at (518) 828-4417 until February 22. Columbia Golf
and Country Club is located at 295 Route 217 in Claverack.
