Columbia
and Greene County Organizations Awarded Regional Achievement
Award
Hudson,
NY – Pattern for Progress recently presented the Columbia
County Chamber of Commerce with the Regional Achievement Award
for successfully bridging the Hudson River to demonstrate
the power of regional cooperation.
Three
other Columbia and Greene County organizations were also awarded
the Regional Achievement Award. They included Columbia-Greene
Community College, Greene County Chamber of Commerce and The
United Way of Columbia and Greene Counties.
The
awards reception was held at Anthony's Pier 9 in New Windsor
and was attended by over 500 Hudson Valley businesses and
government leaders. The keynote speaker for the event was
Anthony Shorris, the new executive director of Stewart Airport,
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
In
accepting the award, Chamber President & CEO David Colby
stated that it is extremely important for the Chamber to work
regionally for its members and to expand the opportunities
and resources throughout the entire Hudson Valley.
