Columbia
County Chamber Presents Check to Chatham Business Alliance
Hudson,
NY – The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce recently presented
a $500 check to the Chatham Business Alliance (CBA) to help
aid them in starting a website to help them further promote
their members and businesses in the Village of Chatham.
With
major road construction on the horizon, the Chamber has partnered
with the Chatham Business Alliance to provide information
to the local businesses about how they can keep business strong
during the road construction early next spring.
The
850-member Chamber and 61-member CBA have further combined
their resources to help prepare Chatham businesses for the
construction crunch. Starting in July, the two organizations
(with the co-sponsorship of Chatham Village trustees) began
sponsoring forums on the upcoming project. Each forum was
designed to give business owners a view of how the construction
could affect them and how they might cope. The two organizations
held successful forums during the summer and early fall and
will continue to aid village businesses with additional forums.
