Chamber Seeks Nominations for Excellence in Business Awards

Hudson, NY – The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominations for the Excellence in Business Awards and Showcase. The event will be held on Thursday, June 14 at Stageworks/Hudson. The deadline for nominations is June 1. Click here for a nomination form.

The event will feature awards given to local businesses for five different areas of achievement. The 2007 ceremony will include awards for Community Service, Most Promising New Business, Business Person of the Year, Small Company of the Year and Large Company of the Year.

“This event celebrates the many accomplishments that businesses make to our community each year,” commented Chamber Chair John Maiuri of Dunn Builders Supply. He adds, “Helping businesses to achieve excellence is what the Chamber is all about.”

The attendees of the Excellence and Business Awards will have the opportunity to experience “The Gallery at Stageworks” and the 100-seat Max and Lillian Katzman Theater as adapted for this Chamber event. This event is a great way to network with a variety of business people while enjoying the ambience of Stageworks/Hudson. Event sponsors will be able to showcase their business with a table top exhibit in “The Gallery at Stageworks” from 5:00 – 6:30 pm. Attendees will also enjoy a wine tasting of New York State wines, a beer tasting by Chatham Brewing Company and hors d'oeuvres tasting by Georgia Ray's during the business showcase. The awards ceremony will be from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. The cost of this event will be $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Parking directions for Stageworks/Hudson are to access parking through the municipal lot opposite Amtrak. Handicap parking is at 41 Cross Street in Hudson.
