Chili Cook-Off & Riverfront Fair

Hudson, NY – Come and enjoy the Columbia-Greene Chili Cook-Off & Riverfront Fair on Sunday, October 1 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.  The event will take place at both Hudson and Athens Riverfront Parks .   The event is a one-day outdoor family festival designed to celebrate the I Love New York 2006 Fall Festival, highlighting agriculture, culinary and cultural tourism in Columbia and Greene Counties. 

Activities will be held on both sides of the river and will include the chili cook-off contest, farmer's market, boat rides between Hudson and Athens , family activities and live cultural entertainment.  The Chamber's Buy Local Business Expo is proud to sponsor free water transportation in conjunction with Hudson Cruises for this exciting two County event.

Mexican Radio is looking for all “ChiliHeads” who think your chili absolutely rocks to enter to become one of their specially chosen contestant cooks. Please send a note to Mexican Radio to let them know what type of chili you'll be whipping up for this event. Home cooks only, please! Send your note to Columbia-Greene Chili Cook-Off, C/O Mexican Radio, 537 Warren Street , Hudson , NY 12534 . Please let them know if you would like to compete in Columbia or Greene County and why they should choose your chili above everyone else's. There will be 20 participants chosen for each side of the river. All proceeds of the Chili Cook-Off will benefit the Columbia-Greene Humane Society.
