Land Conservancy to Host Chamber Business After Hours
Hudson,
NY – Join the Chamber to visit the beautifully renovated facility
of the Columbia Land Conservancy as they host a Business After
Hours on Thursday, November 6. The event will run from 5:00
to 7:00 pm. Columbia Land Conservancy is located at 49 Main
Street in Chatham .
The
Columbia Land Conservancy (CLC) is a member-supported, nonprofit
501(c)(3) land trust. The Conservancy is governed by a volunteer
board of trustees
and has a staff
of nineteen. They work in partnership with landowners
and communities in Columbia County to protect wildlife habitat,
farmland, and rural open space, and to encourage balanced
growth. They also offer free education and recreation
programs to children and adults.
At
the request of landowners, CLC helps families and individuals
protect their land, ensuring that their conservation vision
will be upheld forever. Working with communities and conservation
groups, CLC helps implement local conservation efforts, including
fundraising, acquisition, site planning, and management of
public conservation lands for habitat, recreation, and education.
