Crandell Theatre to Host Chamber Business After Hours
Join the Chamber and the Columbia County Young Professionals as the Crandell Theatre hosts a Business After Hours on Thursday, August 18. The event will run from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
Come network and see things that you don’t get to see when you just go to the movies at the Crandell Theatre. It is Columbia County’s oldest and largest movie theatre. This 534 seat theatre was built in 1926 by Walter S. Crandell, as a vaudeville house. The theatre’s brick and stucco architecture offers an impressive spanish design complete with arches and lanterns.
The really cool thing is it’s many unique features not found in today ’s movie houses, like a full 26 foot wide and 13 foot deep stage with dressing rooms, a 112 seat balcony, an orchestra pit, and organ lofts on each side of the stage. The Crandell has a large concession stand, with approximately 50 different selections, and popcorn is popped daily on the premises.
Business After Hours’ offer excellent networking opportunities for area business people. All members of the business community are invited to attend this business event. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be offered during the After Hours. Crandell Theatre is located at 48 Main Street in Chatham. There is no cost to attend, but guests are encouraged to contact the Chamber at (518) 828-4417 if they plan to attend.
