County Chamber of Commerce Announces
Recipient
of the 17 th Annual Crystal Apple Award
Hudson,
NY – The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to
announce Lippera's at the Chatham House as the recipient of
the 17 th Annual Crystal Apple Award. The Gala was held on
Friday, February 24, 2006 at Stair Galleries, a unique and
elegant space overlooking Warren Street . Over 120 attendees
enjoyed a string trio during the cocktail hour followed by
an inspiring dinner crafted by Bezalel Gables Fine Catering
and Events. A video created by Midhudsonmedia highlighted
the 2005 accomplishments of the six finalists. A Steuben Glass
crystal apple was presented to the Lippera's by the event
emcee Doug Thorn and Chamber Chairman Rick Bianchi.
The
six finalists included CMI-DRA Imaging, PC, Finnish Line Fitness
Centers, Inc., Furniture Plus, Lippera's at the Chatham House,
Pro Printers and Stair Galleries and Restoration, Inc. The
annual award is presented to a Chamber member business to
recognize an extraordinary contribution to economic progress,
community improvement, and the quality of life in Columbia
County during 2005.
The
Chatham House is a Landmark Hotel originally built in
1859 and fully refurbished in 2005. The main floor
and wine cellar encompasses an award-winning Restaurant-Tavern-Lounge
with live music and catering halls. The Promenade shops on
the second floor feature upscale clothing, antiques, gifts
and hand-crafters. Wraparound porches on the main
and second floor are perfect for dining, cocktails or
lounging in a rocker. In the first six months of operation,
Lippera's at the Chatham House was singled out with "Best
of 2005--Entree of the Year" by the Albany Times Union. Every
cent of profit is being put back into the building to prepare
for the next phase of the project.
The
