County Chamber of Commerce Announces Five Finalists
for
the 16 th Annual Crystal Apple Award
Hudson,
NY, January 31, 2005 – Columbia County Chamber of Commerce
President, David Colby is pleased to announce the five finalists
for the 16 th Annual Crystal Apple Award. The Crystal Apple
Award is bestowed on a Chamber member business to recognize
an extraordinary contribution to economic progress, community
improvement, and the quality of life in Columbia County during
2004. The official slate of nominees for the 16 th annual
award is Fingar Insurance, Hudson Valley Orthopedic Associates
PC, Kinderhook Tire and Auto, Pro Printers, and Stageworks/Hudson
and Kaz, Inc.
After
review of the candidate recommendations by the Chamber's Crystal
Apple Task Force and Board of Directors, the official slate
of five nominees was created. The ballot of official nominees
is mailed to the Chamber membership for voting to determine
the winner of the 16 th Annual Crystal Apple.
The
prestigious award consists of a stunning crystal apple from
Steuben Glass. The apple symbolizes Columbia County's simple
beauty, agricultural heritage and quality of life.
The
winner of the Crystal Apple will be announced at the awards
gala on Friday evening, February 25, 2005 at the Columbia
Golf and Country Club. Invitations and ballots will be mailed
to the Chamber membership. Tickets for the gala are $85 per
person or $650 per corporate table of eight and can be reserved
via mail or by contacting the Chamber at (518) 828-4417 until
February 18, 2005.
First
Niagara Bank, Midhudsonmedia and National Union Bank of Kinderhook
are major sponsors of the gala event. Taconic Farms is a silver
sponsor. Connor, Curran & Schram, PC, Dunn Builders Supply,
