Visit the Chamber Staff at Winter Walk - December 4
The Chamber staff will have an exhibit from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Winter Walk on December 4th. The courtyard display outside the 507 Warren Street office will feature free candy boxes for children created by Vasilow's Confectionery and Chamber Community Guides for adults. the movie "A Christmas Story will be shown in the courtyard. The courtyard is located at 505 Warren Street and is the original home of Vasilow Brothers Confectionery.

Freeman Howard, PC - Holiday Business After Hours - December 9

Join the Chamber to celebrate the holiday's as Freeman Howard, PC hosts a Business After Hours on Thursday, December 9 at 441 East Allen Street in Hudson. The event will run from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Business After Hours’ offer excellent networking opportunities for area business people. All members of the business community are invited to attend this business event. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be offered during the After Hours. Freeman Howard is located at 441 East Allen Street in Hudson. 22nd Annual Crystal Apple Award Gala - Chamber Seeks Nominations
The Chamber is seeking nominations for the 22nd annual Crystal Apple Award Gala. This prestigious award is presented to a Chamber member business to recognize an extraordinary contribution to economic progress, community improvement, and the quality of life in Columbia County during 2010. All Chamber member businesses are eligible and candidate nominations will be accepted until January 4, 2011. The Gala will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Camphill Village Gift Shop Will Support Memorial Clock Project - Prepared to help its town, Camphill Village’s gift shop will donate a portion of the proceeds of all sales during the week of December 6 – 11 to the Memorial Clock project in Copake. Camphill Village’s gift shop is well-known for its cookies and breads, hand woven cotton, chenille and wool items, beeswax candles, teas and herbal products, wooden toys and home accessories, and stained glass pieces – all made in craft workshops by adults with developmental disabilities. Community Events

Winter Walk, produced by the Hudson Opera House will be held on Saturday, December 4 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm will be held on Warren Street and beyond in Hudson. A holiday street festival featuring beautifully decorated windows, ” the Santa Parade, live reindeer, street characters, and music and dance galore. A chance to preview all the new businesses and get an early start on holiday shopping. Lots of fun, from the lighting of the historic Hudson-Athens Lighthouse and the ringing of the First Presbyterian Church carillon to start things off, to the glow of fireworks atop Promenade Hill at the end! Celebrate the holidays, Friday, December 10th from 5:30 - 8:30 pm in the Village of Kinderhook.Luminaries will light your way through the Village. Stroll along to visit local merchants or take a horse drawn wagon ride. Don’t miss the live animals, Santa Claus, Sax o Claus, Tots the Clown, face painting, holiday carolers… activities for everyone! Bring the kids for Teen Night upstairs at the Village Hall with music and games all evening! Take a tour of Kinderhook’s historic churches and library. Browse the holiday boutique and new Runway Style Show at the James Vanderpoel house. Join the 5K Fun Walk / Run. kicking off at 7pm in the Village Square. A night filled with food, fun and entertainment.

The Valatie Winter Walk December 11th 6:00 - 9:00 pm *Snow Date December 12th 6-9pm* PARADE steps off at 6! Come stroll along Main St. Valatie and enjoy live music, face painting and a petting zoo. There will also be a living nativity, and Santa at The Valatie Community Theatre. Don't forget the hay wagon rides where you can judge the house decorating contest. The night promises to be magical, so don't miss out on all the fun!

Come and enjoy the Annual Winterfest in the Village of Chatham on Sunday, December 12 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Village of Chatham becomes a winter wonderland just as in our memories of days long past. See twinkling window displays, Santa Claus in the mini mall by American Pie, holiday music, wagon rides, cookie contest at Kinderhook Bank, storytime at Beach & Bartolo, free movie at the Crandall (must have a ticket) tickets can be purchased after 11/26 at Brown's, The Chatham Bookstore, Clocktower Toys & Gifts and Chatham Kids, and much more. Celebrate the holidays the way they used to be, wandering through festive, one-of-a-kind shops with friends and family.
