Chamber Seeks Nominations for Excellence in Business Awards

Hudson, NY, – The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominations for the Excellence in Business Awards and Showcase. The event will be held on Thursday, June 12 at Columbia-Greene Community College. The deadline for nominations is May 30. Click here for a nomination form.

The event will feature awards given to local businesses for five different areas of achievement. The 2008 ceremony will include awards for Community Service, Most Promising New Business, Business Person of the Year, Small Company of the Year and Large Company of the Year.

“This event celebrates the many accomplishments that businesses make to our community each year,” commented Chamber Chairman John Maiuri. He adds, “Helping businesses to achieve excellence is what the Chamber is all about.”

The attendees of the Excellence and Business Awards will have the opportunity to experience new Professional Academic Building on the college's campus and the Saland Forum as adapted for this Chamber event. This event is a great way to network with a variety of business people while enjoying the ambience of the College. Event sponsors will be able to showcase their business with a table top exhibit in the lobby of the Professional Academic Building from 5:00 – 6:30 pm. Attendees will also wonderful hors d'oeuvres and beverages during the business showcase. The awards ceremony will be from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. The cost of this event will be $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

Parking directions for Columbia-Greene Community College are to access the parking lot from the main entrance of the campus behind the Performing Arts building.
