Agricultural Awareness Tour
Hudson,
NY – The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual
Agricultural Awareness Tour on Saturday, June 25 from 10:00
am – 1:00 pm. The tour left from First Pioneer Farm Credit
on Route 9H in Claverack and was open to Chamber members and
the public.
The annual tour was created to educate and increase awareness
of the socioeconomic impact that the agricultural sector has
on Columbia County. In addition to a back roads tour
of the county, participants stopped at four specific sites
for guided tours. Participants received an in-depth look into
In Front Training Center, Meltz Lumber, The Farm at Miller's
Crossing and High Falls Gardens.
National
Union Bank of Kinderhook, First
Niagara Bank and Midhudsonmedia
were Major Sponsors for the event. Columbia
Land Conservancy, First
Pioneer Farm Credit and Hawthorne
Valley Association were Brass Sponsors and The Berry Farm
was a Copper Sponsor.
