HAVE, Inc.
is pleased to present its professional Video to DVD
Transfer Service to benefit the Hudson Area Library.
Many people are finding themselves with home video treasures
that are stored on older format tape stock and they no longer
have any way to view or share those treasures as older tape
machines wear out and become obsolete. And as time goes
on, older tape formats degrade and archival lives continue
to shorten, so people are looking for ways to preserve and
share their home video treasures indefinitely. HAVE
Inc.'s Video to DVD Transfer services will digitize those
home movie treasures and preserve them on long life, easy
to play, DVD media. HAVE accepts home movie treasures
on VHS, VHS-C, SVHS, 8MM, High 8 and MiniDV tape. They
also can transfer from professional video formats such as
Betacam, Betacam SP, Digital Betacam, and 3/4" U-Matic
Tape. Anyone who takes advantage of HAVE's services
between now and December 31 and mentions "Hudson Area
Library", will have 10% of the proceeds donated directly
to the library. For more information about HAVE, Inc.
call 518-828-2000 or visit their website at www.haveinc.com.
Katchie
Farm at the Sylvia Center is offering the limited
edition 2009 NY Farmers Calendar, which features Farms in
Columbia County. The calendar is a stunning collection
of portraits and agricultural scenery that celebrates the
lives and work of the people who are keeping farming alive
in this still rural corner of the Hudson Valley. When
documentary photographer Roey Yohai turned his lens on these
twelve farms, he captured timeless beauty. The lush
summer light, the ruddy colors of ripening fruit and grain,
and the deep contentment on the faces of his subjects are
a sustainable reality-authentic, natural riches in Columbia
County. Profits from the calendar will go to the farm-to-table
education for children through the Sylvia Center, a not-for-profit
that offers school programs in farming and healthful cooking.
For more information or to purchase a calendar call
(518) 758-2170 or visit their website at http://nyfarmerscalendar.com.
