Chamber to Host Excellence in Business Awards and Showcase

Hudson , NY – The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will host the Excellence in Business Awards and Showcase on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at Stageworks/Hudson located at 41 Cross Street in Hudson.

The event will feature a keynote by Richard Katzman, President and CEO of Kaz, Inc. and awards given to local businesses for five different areas of achievement. The 2005 ceremony will include awards for Community Service, Most Promising New Business, Business Person of the Year, Small Company of the Year and Large Company of the Year. The keynote and awards will be preceded by a business showcase and refreshments from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.

“This event celebrates the many accomplishments that businesses make to our community each year,” commented Chamber Chairman Rick Bianchi of Shallo, Galluscio, Bianchi & Fucito, CPAs, PC. He adds, “Helping businesses to achieve excellence is what the Chamber is all about.”

The attendees of the Excellence and Business Awards will have the opportunity to experience “The Gallery at Stageworks” and the 100-seat Max and Lillian Katzman Theater as adapted for this Chamber event. This event is a great way to network with a variety of business people while enjoying the ambience of Stageworks/Hudson. Sponsors will be able to showcase their business with a table top exhibit in “The Gallery at Stageworks” from 5:00 – 6:30 pm. Attendees will also enjoy a wine tasting by Fairview Wines and Spirits, a beer tasting by C.H. Evans Brewing Company and hors d'oeuvres by Renner's Creative Celebrations, Inc. during the business showcase. The awards ceremony will be from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. The cost of this event is $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
