Buy Local Benefits Entire County
Buying local effects everyone in the County.  This time of year is very popular for gift giving whether it be for Mother's or Father's Day, graduations, birthdays, or weddings.  Columbia County has wonderful towns and villages that have a variety of shops and businesses to fit anyone's pleasure.  Buying local creates a ripple effect that keeps our tax dollars here thus diverting high tax increases.  Buying local is not just for retail consumers, but also for business-to-business transactions that represent great purchasing power as well.  The Chamber urges residents to Buy Local whenever possible and to use the Chamber Membership Directory and website as a source to find information about local businesses.  The following article will appear on the Business page of the Register Star on May 3.  Please click here for full article.
