Chamber Supports Fire Museum Expansion
The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has voted unanimously to support the proposed expansion of the FASNY Museum of Firefighting.  The museum intends to expand by purchasing the historic firehouse on Park Place in Hudson.  The Chamber encourages the community to support this important effort.  To participate directly in this project contact Museum Curator, Wendy McDaris at (518) 822-1875.   If you are interested in bringing an idea or issue to the Economic Development/Government Affairs Committee of the Chamber please contact David Colby at dcolby@columbiachamber-ny.com.
Hudson River Boat Cruise - July 21, 2005
Join us on Thursday, July 21 and enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks and music as we set sail on the Spirit of the Hudson.  The pre-boarding reception begins at 5:00 pm at the Hudson Waterfront Park.  We set sail at 6:00 pm and return at 8:00 pm from the Hudson City Dock.  Please click here for more information. 
Sponsorship Appreciation Event - August 4, 2005

Superintendents Breakfast- August 16, 2005
On August 16, the Columbia and Greene County Chambers are hosting a breakfast to meet the new and existing Columbia and Greene County superintendents.  This is a great opportunity for businesses to connect with their local school districts.  Superintendents will have a chance to meet with a variety of local business people in a networking session.  Please click here for more information.

Regional Business After Hours - August 19, 2005

The Chamber will host a Regional Business After Hours at the Clermont State Historic Site on Friday, August 19 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.  Fingar Insurance, Crawford and Associates and Germantown Telephone Company, Inc. will sponsor the event.  Please click here for more information.

Agricultural Awareness Tour- Post Event News

Open for Business
Baba Louie's Organic Sourdough Pizza Company has opened for business at 517 Warren Street in Hudson.  Lunch and dinner will be served everyday except Wednesday.  The menu will feature crafted organic pizzas, baked in a wood fired oven.  In addition to pizza, salads, soups, sandwiches, paninis and pasta will be served.  All items are available for take out service.  Owners Paul and Eileen Masiero have been the proprietors of Baba Louie's at 286 Main Street in Great Barrington, Massachusetts for the past five years.  Please stop in and visit this fine new restaurant.


Community Events
The Columbia County Fairgrounds will host a Family Festival on Sunday, July 3.  Gates open at 3:00 pm, fireworks at 9:30 pm.  Come and enjoy the food, live music and rides.  Visit their website at www.columbiafair.com.

The Chatham Business Alliance will host Summerfest on Saturday, July 9 in the village of Chatham.  Merchants with bargains galore.  Children's activities, food and local not-for-profits fill the streets from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.  Visit their website at www.chathambusinessalliance.org.
