Chamber Supports Catamount Development Project
The Chamber Board of Directors has voted to support the proposed condominium development project at Catamount Ski Resort.  The Chamber believes this project will bring additional visitors to the area, significantly promote Columbia County as a destination to potential visitors, generate property taxes that will benefit local municipalities and Taconic Hills School District and provide employment opportunities for Columbia County residents during construction and once the project is completed.  The Chamber will encourage the use of local vendors in all phases of construction and will work to promote local businesses to condominium owners and visitors.  The Chamber will sponsor an "Educated Development Forum" at Catamount in November.  If you would like to support the Catamount Development project please plan to attend the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting at the Copake Town Hall on October 20.   Please contact David Colby at the Chamber for more information.
