Member News
This year COARC is celebrating forty years of providing programs
and services to individuals experiencing disabilities. To
commemorate this milestone, COARC is hosting an exciting day
of music, food, and an aerobatic display over the Hudson River.
The event is planned for Saturday, September 10, 2005 from
3:00 pm - 10:00 pm, with a rain date of Sunday, September
11th. Tickets for the event are $20 ($15 for COARC members
if purchased before September 10). For more information or
to purchase tickets please contact COARC at (518) 672-4451
or visit their website at www.coarc.org.
On September 11
and 12 the Columbia County Lodging Association will host the
Board of Directors of the Empire State Bed & Breakfast
Association (ESBBA). Local ESBBA members have planned
several Columbia County tourism events to show off the county
to the State association board members who are traveling here
for their quarterly board meeting. For more information
on the Columbia County Lodging Association, to learn more
about ESBBA, or to reserve for the events planned for September
11 and 12, please contact Deborah Bowen at The Inn at Green
River at (518) 325-7248 or by email at info@iagr.com.
On September 20, 2005 the Hawthorne Valley Farm Store will
donate 5% of that day's total sales for Shop for a Cause.
This day will benefit the Philmont and Roe-Jan Community (formerly
Hillsdale Public) Libraries. Each library can greatly
use your contributions. Philmont is seeking to expand
its children's and juveniles' sections, and Hillsdale needs
a new furnace before winter sets in. Plan ahead and
"save up" to make as many purchases as you can on
that day! You'll be contributing to a terrific cause
and helping these valuable members of our communities.
For more information please visit their website at www.hawthornevalleyfarm.com.
