Your membership helps support the Chamber Advocacy efforts for local businesses.  In the past month, Chamber President, David Colby spoke at two local planning board meeting to support member projects.  On May 14, David spoke at the combined meeting of the Claverack and Ghent Planning Boards to support the proposed Ginsberg’s Project.  A new building on Route 66 will help this local company with over 250 employees grow and expand.  the Chamber Board unanimously supports this project and believes it to be very important to our community.

On May 27, the Chamber and David spoke at the Greenport Planning Board in support of the 116 unit apartment buildings at the former Greenport School being proposed by JMS Construction.  The Chamber Board also voted unanimously to support this project that will greatly benefit the community.
