As part of Governor Cuomo’s Upstate Revitalization Initiative, the Capital Region Economic Development Council (CREDC) is leading an effort to create a regional economic transformation plan and compete for $500 million in related State funding.  A critical element of the plan’s success will be its ability to prioritize and leverage the shared assets and aspirations of the various jurisdictions within our region.  With that in mind, the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and the Greene County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Town Hall event with the CREDC in the Saland Forum in the Professional Academic Center on the Columbia Greene Community College Campus on Thursday, August 20. Registration is at 8:00AM. The Town Hall is from 8:30 – 10:00 AM and will solicit your input on transformational strategies and initiatives that will enable sustained economic growth and prosperity for all.  Please join us at this important event to make sure your voice is heard. RSVPs are appreciated; please e-mail advisorycouncil@capital2020.biz.
